Grenada celebrates record year in tourism
3 mins read

As 2024 comes to a close, the Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA) says it has been a landmark year for the island’s tourism industry, marked by record visitor arrivals, major international events, and a continued focus on sustainability.
With these achievements, the GTA is setting its sights on further growth in 2025, aiming to strengthen Grenada’s position as a top Caribbean destination.
“This year has been nothing short of extraordinary for Grenada,” said CEO Petra Roach. “We’ve seen record visitor arrivals, hosted prestigious events like the Caribbean Tourism Organization’s Sustainable Tourism Conference, and expanded our global visibility through accolades and media engagement.
“As we look into 2025, our vision is to build on this momentum, expanding our reach, deepening partnerships, and ensuring that every visitor who seps onto our shores leaves with an unforgettable experience,” she added.
In addition to the conference, Grenada saw a significant boost in visitor numbers, reaching new highs in 2024. The surge in arrivals reflects the success of the GTA’s strategic marketing efforts, as well as the island’s growing reputation for its natural beauty, rich culture, and diverse offerings.
Chairman Randall Dolland underscored the importance of collaboration among all tourism stakeholders in driving the island’s success saying the year’s achievements are a direct result of the collective efforts of everyone involved—“our hotel operators, tour guides, artisans, and the wider Grenadian community.” he said.
The GTA also highlighted its ongoing commitment to sustainable tourism, with initiatives aimed at preserving the environment while supporting local communities. These efforts align with global trends and are expected to attract increasingly eco-conscious travelers in the years ahead.
As Grenada prepares for 2025, the GTA extends warm holiday wishes to all Grenadians, visitors, and partners. “We are grateful for the successes of 2024 and excited for what lies ahead,” Roach added. “We’re ready to build on our achievements and make 2025 an even more prosperous year for Grenada’s tourism industry.”
