Man, 36, arrested for sexual assault of minor in USVI

Police have arrested and charged a 36-year-old Virgin Islands man for the alleged sexual assault of a female minor.
According to police reports, on January 5, 2025, an adult female reported that her minor daughter was raped by an adult male. The Criminal Investigation Bureau detectives made contact with the victim at the Juan Luis Hospital where she was treated for her injuries, as a result of the assault.
Police say on January 7, 2025, Kenrick Devon Mottley, was present at the Police Operations Building in Frederiksted where he was advised of his Miranda Rights, and gave a statement. He was placed under arrest for Rape First Degree, Rape Second, Assault First, Child Abuse, and Unlawful sexual contact.
Mottley was processed, booked and unable to post bail which was set in the sum of $100,000.00. He was remanded to the John A Bell Adult Correctional Facility pending his advice of rights hearing.
